22- Bridgeport, TX (December 13-19)

  Summary: Our last week before heading back for the holidays was pretty relaxed. Our Thousand Trails campground cabin was nice, so we stayed around a lot and just watched the deer. We visit the local six flags (which was a disappointment) and had day trips to Denton, Fort Worth and Weatherford. The girls are really excited to go home and see family and friends.  December 13 It’s our last six flags day for 2025. I’ve really enjoyed the All Pass Passport card that let us go to all the six flags and cedar fair amusement parks. We were able to visit 19 of the 24 amusement parks throughout North America.  This park was super crowded. After just coming from Fiesta Texas down near San Antonio last week, we figured the crowd would be more like that and we couldn’t have been more wrong. This was the most crowded amusement experience we’ve had. We decided to go for the Titan first and waited over an hour and a half to ride it. 21- San Antonio, TX (December 6-12)

  Summary: We had a good week in Texas hill country. We really enjoyed our campground with all the deer and the lack of people. Our trip into San Antonio for six flags was really nice, as well as visiting the missions, river walk, the Alamo, a couple of museums and gardens. Our family really appreciated the good weather of Texas compared to what we usually get to endure in Nebraska in December.  December 6 Woke up groggy after not getting much sleep. We kind of putzed around the activity center for a bit until the front office opened. Looked at the books, games and dvds. Picked up the book Stargirl as a our next book to read together.  Went to the office not sure what to find. Would they be mad we got in without checking in, apologetic, confused. I was a little anxious, but the guy was pretty nice, but a little heavy on the excuses. He kept going on about how they were understaffed and he saw the messages on teh emergency hotline but couldn’t get to them (wcyd?).  Ev...
