Week 1- Gulfport, MS (July 5-12)

Summary: Our first week we stayed at a beach house Airbnb. We took several trips to the beach, took a day trip to New Orleans and Mobile, and hung out a lot as a family. July 5/6 Started our trip off with a really long drive to Jonesboro, AR.   Set up camp. Went to a close playground, charged phones and filled up water bottles, but when we c ame back to the tent and it was full of mosquitos (easily 30). Sat there for about 15 minutes trying to kill them before realizing this was futile. Packed up the tent (roughly and quickly) and headed out for wherever around 10:30 pm (the adventure really begins). Slept for an hour in a Walmart parking lot because the days inn wanted $95 (it was already after midnight and we couldn’t book online as well).  After several stops to rest, we arrived at Gulfport beach house to relax.  July 7 Girls got mani/pedis. Life is short and so our family has decided to try full-time traveling for a year. We've scrimped and saved and got enough to travel the United States (and a little bit of Canada) this year. This blog is a way to document the year and hopefully share some tips and inspiration with others.
